April 1 - April 30, 2020

About the Ecochallenge

Santa Barbara County residents will have the opportunity to participate in a worldwide Earth Month Ecochallenge, April 1-31, 2020 with suggested actions and measured impact around water conservation, food waste reduction, elimination of single-use plastics, smart transportation solutions, and energy efficiency. This challenge will be tracked through a mobile-friendly platform by Ecochallenge.org and Santa Barbara based sustainablefuture.org.

This year marks the 50th anniversary of the birth of the environmental movement and the creation of "Earth Day" after the disastrous oil spill hit our shores in 1969.

The year 2020 also sets the precedent for the progress that can take hold when millions of people come together to demand and take action for a healthier world. Join this global movement and take action with us!

We believe small actions can make a big impact.
