One of my favorite things to do is to cook. Knowing I was able to make something really yummy has a certain feeling of accomplishment that can only come by doing something with your own two hands. Right now I am brainstorming ideas for my Reducing Animal Products challenge so I can not only earn more points for my team but also eat a healthier more sustainable pallet.
  • REFLECTION QUESTION
    Forests Forest-Friendly Foods
How difficult or easy was it to change your diet?

This challenge was easy in my opinion. Where I am now I have access to many small businesses/farmers market. At these locations they home grow their own crops and all their meat is fresh. In fact the bread their is still warm from just coming out of the oven. Shopping at these locations support using forest friendly foods in the way that it reduces food miles and encourages more sustainable products.

My challenge is going very well. My family and I just when shopping the other day, we have stopped eating out and now only use whats in the house. Right now my mother is making chicken soup which will last us two meals and still have some left over to give to our neighbors.
