I chose the goal of connecting with at least one person a day, because I was aware of not keeping meaningful contact with friends and family between visits, holidays, or even more separation if people lived far away.  I found that it had been easy to allow great amounts of time between contact with people I actually treasure.  I chose the goal of getting outside at least 20 minutes a day, because I can spend entire days involved in inside activities.  My nutritionist had noted that I needed outside, daylight exposure for good health.  I had help with this task: nice and warm weather, so gardening and getting my husband to go for walks were some fine accomplishments.  We discovered little parks and trails that we didn't  realize existed in our part of town!  My hands are sore (I like to feel the earth, etc. when I garden), but it's nice to see the yard taking shape and the new potted plants are looking good.  As our area of Oregon moves into a badly dry season, I'll be keeping up the garden and yard with prudent use of water, and watching indoor water use as well (an added action/goal to begin right at the end of this month).

This has been a wonderful way to celebrate Earth Day and beyond.  I hope to continue the rhythm of this challenge with celebrating humanity with daily connections with friends and family, and daily excursions outside the house which have been spurs to garden and take walks through my beautiful neighborhood/town/countryside.  I also was pleased to see that I already do some things and don't do things that begged corrective action.  Thanks for all the environmental focuses and celebration.
