I know I joined about a week late, but this was a fun easy way to see how I impact the world.  Doesn't always have to be some huge thing...little things add up.

I re-posted a picture from our trip to Costa Rica with my youth group.  It was such a beautiful place that was being challenged by global warming and too much land development. If we don't stop our global warming efforts we could lose beautiful places like Costa Rica.

So there is a Gwinnett Heritage Center here near my house and they have several trails that I've never tried out.  There was an orange blazed trail that was basically a loop through the trees and along creeks.  Very beautiful and I encourage anyone in metro-Atlanta area to check it out.

Fresh Water Use a Reusable Water Bottle
Using the links provided, investigate the bottling practices of water corporations. There have been many cases where the water rights of the local people have been violated or even completely disregarded when a corporation decides to bottle water from a particular water source. How can you advocate for those who have been harmed - both humans and wildlife - by this bottling process?

The more I do this the better I feel about making a full impact when I see the total number of water bottles!!

I find giraffes very interesting, not only are they fascinating to look at, but I wanted to learn about how they work day to day. The life cycle of giraffes begins when they are born. They are born after a 16-month pregnancy, and are called calves when they are born. They get their food from the mother’s milk until they are about 11 months old which is when they begin to eat leaves and vegetation. There are three main habitats of giraffes: Savanna, Woodland, Grassland. Savanna is a mix of woodland and grassland. The woodland is covered with trees, including lots of vegetation. Grassland is similar to woodland, except less forest-like, lots of vegetation and grasses. When it comes to the function’s giraffe ecosystems have, giraffes are vital for their ecosystems to work properly. Giraffes live in eastern and southern Africa, there is lots of plains for them to roam and vegetation for their long necks to reach off the trees. Giraffe’s interaction with humans is normally very peaceful. They are more gentle animals out of all the wildlife animals. They will eat out of a child’s hand and have no intention of hurting humans, unless they feel frightened. When giraffe’s feel frightened, they have a main defensive come back to protect themselves, which is kicking, can cause serious harm or even death. Which is probably the main time they could cause humans.

It really made me feel awesome to volunteer delivering food to nurses and teachers in our church.  Their smiles and air hugs made me feel so good.  I feel like I'm part of the bigger community helping against covid-19

So I replaced two lamp light-bulbs in my bedroom and one in my parent's office!  Super easy and I showed my parents how much we are helping.
