It's been fun to take this challenge. While today is the last day to enter our progress, we can maintain our habits and add new goals going forward. Our work doesn't stop here.

I know I can take small steps to contribute to the collective impact. It takes time to establish and maintain good habits. It helps to have daily tasks and reminders to make progress. The Earth benefits from our actions and so do we.

I can reduce, reuse, recycle, conserve water, buy local foods, visit a botanical garden to support their work, drive less, plant flowers and vegetables, buy sustainable products.
  • REFLECTION QUESTION

Continuing to conserve water and use refillable water containers is a start. Maintaining the cleanliness of our natural bodies of water locally and into the Adirondacks is important too.
  • REFLECTION QUESTION
Action Track: Building Resilience Spend Time Outside
Rachel Carson said that we need the beauty and mysteries of the natural world for our spiritual and emotional development. Does that ring true for you? What are the implications for a culture that spends most of its time indoors?

    Sarah LeRoux 4/17/2020 10:56 AM
Spending too much time indoors means we miss opportunities to see and experience natural beauty which improves our health and inspires us. It's great to breath fresh air, feel the sunshine, watch the seasons change and observe wildlife!
  • REFLECTION QUESTION

I'll be more careful when reading these labels and pause to reconsider their meaning before throwing food out.
