REFLECTION QUESTIONFresh Water Use a Reusable Water BottleUsing the links provided, investigate the bottling practices of water corporations. There have been many cases where the water rights of the local people have been violated or even completely disregarded when a corporation decides to bottle water from a particular water source. How can you advocate for those who have been harmed - both humans and wildlife - by this bottling process?
Sani Murati 4/18/2020 11:28 AMSocial media allows everyone to vocalize issues daily and this could be reached out through videos and posts. If more people decide to use a different water brand, that water brand that is violating rights would lose their demand and have to make adjustments to even survive. -
REFLECTION QUESTIONClimate Local Climate IssuesIn what ways is your local community resilient to shock events like we’ve experienced recently? How could you help it become more resilient?
Sani Murati 4/10/2020 2:55 PMA shock event has been the coronavirus which despite causing a negative effect in our communities, has positively impacted pollution. -
REFLECTION QUESTIONFresh Water Conserve Toilet WaterWhat would a sustainable water future in your region look like? What needs to change?
Sani Murati 4/10/2020 2:54 PMOverall less water usage. It's the little things like turning the faucet off the 2 minutes you brush your teeth. -
REFLECTION QUESTIONPeople Connect While Social DistancingHow does connecting with others help your own mental and emotional health? How can it help support others?
Sani Murati 4/09/2020 1:25 PMIt helps with all the busy tasks that are needed to be completed from me. Sitting in front of a computer and not talking to anyone will drive anyone crazy after a few days. I contacted several cousins (some abroad) and they were really appreciative. -
REFLECTION QUESTIONFresh Water Water-Friendly Beauty ProductsBeyond what does or doesn't come out of the tap at home, how do your choices affect freshwater locally and globally?
Sani Murati 4/07/2020 3:49 PMMy choices affect freshwater supply because little things like washing your face for multiple minutes or keeping the faucet on when brushing teeth wastes more water and over the years that amount compounds so much.
