Holly Parks 4/30/2020 6:23 PMThis has been an interesting eco challenge, much too short to establish habits, but I have enjoyed it just the same. -
Holly Parks 4/27/2020 4:23 PMThirty days is not long enough to set a habit. And Ecochallenge didn’t notify me that the Earth Day set was starting so I missed several days. Luckily I eat a mostly plant based diet and scrape my dishes so those are just reminders. -
REFLECTION QUESTIONFood Reduce Animal ProductsWhy do people in richer countries eat more meat than people in other places? How does eating more meat affect our planet and other people?

Holly Parks 4/17/2020 5:30 PMPlease let the weather warm up so I can walk outside and put my pots of veggie seedlings back outside. My house looks like a nursery!-
Holly Parks 4/18/2020 5:10 PMYou are so right. Can’t plant yet as it is not warm enough but the seedlings for my veggies are in huge pots on the deck again where they can get the sun and are much easier to water. -
Jill Jonas 4/18/2020 11:39 AMlooks like you got your wish. happy planting.

REFLECTION QUESTIONFresh Water Dishwasher EfficiencyHow can your region/household prepare for changing water situations in order to become more resilient?
Holly Parks 4/13/2020 6:46 AMPlant native so they are used to less water.
When I need to run water in the kitchen, as in making sure the dishwasher has hot water, I capture the water in jugs and use it later for watering plants. I also save water in the jugs from washing vegetables.-
Jill Jonas 4/13/2020 9:47 AMGreat ideas!

Holly Parks 4/11/2020 9:03 AMIt is hard to spend time outside even though I really want to. When the weather is nice, I can walk around the yard. But when it is colder, I have to walk on the sidewalk and I dare not go far because my back begins to hurt.-
Holly Parks 4/13/2020 6:40 AMYou are right. I can manage 10 minutes if I layer on clothes. -
Laina Jaffe 4/13/2020 6:31 AMI understand! I don’t like the cold weather either. But even 10 minutes or so is great. When it’s nice out, I spend as much time as I can outside, but when it’s cold, I just try to go out for at least a few minutes. -
Jill Jonas 4/11/2020 1:32 PMEvery little bit is a success!
