This was the best Earth Day EcoChallenge yet! Eating vegan really helped my being mindful of choices and surroundings. It's definitely not the easiest way to live, but what good things are easy?!
  • REFLECTION QUESTION
Action Track: Building Resilience Volunteer in my Community
How does volunteering enhance your community and/or change your relationship with it?

Volunteering makes you feel connected to humans that you wouldn't automatically assume you had anything in common with. Volunteering also makes you feel like it's okay to reach out and ask for help when it's your turn.
  • REFLECTION QUESTION
    Food Vedge Pledge and Webinar
How does food impact your carbon footprint?

    Krista Pritchett's avatar
    Krista Pritchett 4/28/2020 10:27 AM
The choices we make regarding food impact our carbon footprint because the factors of production (land, feed, machinery) are either better or worse for the environment.

What surprised you about your PACT results?

    Krista Pritchett 4/28/2020 10:22 AM
I was very surprised by my PACT results. My largest portion was eating! I was happy to take part in WSPs "Vedge Pledge" to try and limit the impact that my food was having on my PACT result. Now I feel confident in implementing more vegan dishes into my family's diet!
  • REFLECTION QUESTION
Action Track: Building Resilience Connect While Social Distancing
How does connecting with others help your own mental and emotional health? How can it help support others?

Connecting with others lends empathy and support to those who are lonely and helps us remember that those relationships are important and strong.
