I noticed that I'm throwing a lot less away in the garbage can. Once it's ready I'll use it for soil.

    Sage SankeyTaranto's avatar
    Sage SankeyTaranto 4/30/2020 4:10 PM
I use vegetable bags regularly, but I don't put them in the garbage, I was and reuse them so it doesn't impact the environment.
  • REFLECTION QUESTION
    Oceans Learn about Our Oceans
What is one way in which oceans support your life on Earth? What is one way you can help take care of ocean health with your actions?

    Sage SankeyTaranto's avatar
    Sage SankeyTaranto 4/30/2020 4:07 PM
Oceans provide food for me to eat, as well as provides a place for me to swim and surf on vacations. I could help take care of the oceans health by monitoring how much plastic I am using so it doesn't end up in the ocean.
  • REFLECTION QUESTION

    Sage SankeyTaranto's avatar
    Sage SankeyTaranto 4/30/2020 3:39 PM
Me and my family have always driven instead of flown, we save money, and we our carbon footprint is lowered, so we already avoid air travel, and we didn't have to restructure out trips.
  • REFLECTION QUESTION
Action Track: Building Resilience Watch a Documentary about Food Sovereignty
How does food sovereignty address the complex agrarian transition to modern food systems?

    Sage SankeyTaranto's avatar
    Sage SankeyTaranto 4/30/2020 3:22 PM
Giving people access to healthy food required a huge shift in the way we produced food. Mechanization of agriculture was pertinent in order to meet the needs of the people.

How do your consumption choices affect the health of wildlife and other communities?

    Sage SankeyTaranto's avatar
    Sage SankeyTaranto 4/14/2020 7:54 AM
I personally eat a lot of meat, so my consumption choices affects chicken cow and pig populations because me buying meat contributes to the amount of meat that is produced, therefore affecting the population of animals that are being used for their meat.
