Fresh Water
Dishwasher Efficiency
I will scrape, rather than rinse, dishes before loading into the dishwasher and only run the dishwasher when it’s full.
People
Keep My Community Clean
I will pick up 3 piece(s) of litter each day while following the CDC’s current guidelines for prevention of disease transfer.
Food
Compost Food Waste
I will avoid sending up to .69 lbs (.31 kg) of food waste to the landfill each day by composting my food or learning how to.
Action Track: Building Resilience
Spend Time Outside
I will replace 30 minute(s) each day typically spent inside (computer time, watching television, etc.) with quality time outside that follows CDC guidelines for preventing disease spread.
Action Track: Building Resilience
Connect While Social Distancing
I will connect with at least 2 person/people a day through phone call or video chat to support mine and other’s mental and emotional health during this challenging time.
Participant Feed
Reflection, encouragement, and relationship building are all important aspects of getting a new habit to stick.
Share thoughts, encourage others, and reinforce positive new habits on the Feed.
To get started, share “your why.” Why did you join the challenge and choose the actions you did?

Tijana Selak 4/02/2020 7:10 PMOne of the actions I was hoping to take this week was picking up garbage on walks. It's hard to do this with a blanket of snow on the ground... but one thing that occurred to me is that with less people out and about, there will be less litter (just like they are seeing fewer gas emissions)! A silver lining of the pandemic is that with humans cooped up indoors, nature is getting a much-needed breather! :)
