Garbage Assessment
I will before Taking the garbage out, identify any plastic, paper or string type material that has loops in it for wildlife to get stuck in. This includes soda or sports drink "rings" that the bottles come in, paper or plastic bags from the grocery store or even box string and plastic wrapping. If so make sure that all the rings are cut so that there is no trapping hazard.

REFLECTION QUESTIONPeople Spend Time OutsideRachel Carson said that we need the beauty and mysteries of the natural world for our spiritual and emotional development. Does that ring true for you? What are the implications for a culture that spends most of its time indoors?
Kiemly Tam 4/30/2020 5:01 PMSpending so much time indoors deprives us of the beauty of the natural world. But also, we need fresh air, sunlight and to get in touch with our senses through sight, sound and touch for our mental state and creativity to thrive. -
REFLECTION QUESTIONWildlife Garbage AssessmentThink about what you are putting in your Trash, were there ways to minimize what you bring home from the store and put straight in the trash?
Kiemly Tam 4/29/2020 10:50 PMMost items that I bring back from the store do not go in the trash. All my grocery and produce bags are reusable; when plastic or paper bags are used, they are recycled. I am working on how to compost the items that are compostable.
