April 30 at 4:47 PMThank you team for making this so much fun! I love how much time we spent learning. Wishing you all much energy, clarity, and purpose in protecting, cherishing the earth and healing with it!

April 29 at 12:55 PMWe are getting close to the end of the month! Go to the "Teams" tab, sort by state and look for Cooler Communities in Massachusetts - we are doing amazing! Let's really go for it for these last three days!

April 29 at 12:53 PMThis morning I learned about CO2 emissions (the invisible part of air pollution) having dropped between 5% and 8% across the world over this past period of lock-down. That means that even if people do not fly and do not drive, we need to push for much deeper systemic change to achieve the reductions that are necessary to keep us safe....

April 29 at 12:49 PMI walked through a small forest near my house today and ran into this gorgeous midget and her friends, 5 different kinds...so very grateful to the earth and the treasures she provides every day.
-
April 26 at 6:33 PMI played a legislator in a lobby training for young climate activists today and also shared an article on social media about the need to save MA forests - we lose a staggering 40 acres of forest every day!
-
April 26 at 6:31 PMI listened to a presentation from the Director at Berkshire Environmental Action team about the Housatonic River clean up. I imagine a river that we can swim in and eat from again, which could be a big part of our community resilience in times of climate change. But it will take many years for this to be possible.
-
April 26 at 6:29 PMI called my representatives and asked them to support strong climate legislation in the MA legislature. A group called Our Climate, led by youth and focused on pricing carbon pollution, has an initiative called Light up the Map. Please support them if you live in MA, it only takes a few minutes.
-
April 23 at 4:47 PMI learned about a state carbon fee and dividend bill today H2810 in Massachusetts, that would make a big difference in reducing carbon emissions, lower healthcare costs and provide jobs as well as protect those on lower incomes, who often bear the brunt of pollution. If you would like to learn more, go to OurClimate.us.
-
April 22 at 5:59 PMI wrote an Op-Ed on climate change which got published in our local newspaper today - very happy.
-
April 22 at 3:07 PMI am planting a lot of native plants, yesterday, we raked native flower seeds into my friend's lawn. I love gardening with others/ neighbors, trading plants (I scored sorrel, which is delicious) and learning together about the most natural and nourishing way to garden - nourishing for humans and many other creatures.
