    I am more aware of the litter itself. Now after picking up litter in the park I walk in, I feel more connected to keeping it clean and safe for the wildlife. I have taken more pride in keeping a cleaner community.

    We take for granted the convenience of packaged meat in the grocery stores. However, agriculture is the leading cause of deforestation, using way too much water for agriculture, and raising animals only for slaughter. Not to mention, they release more methane into the atmosphere.

    It was amazing to see the trash then not see it once the area was clean. I participated in the Great American Cleanup last year, and I helped clean three parks and an area beneath the interstate. You have no idea how much trash gets thrown out of vehicles until you’ve cleaned around the roads!
