  • REFLECTION QUESTION
Action Track: Building Resilience Spend Time Outside
Rachel Carson said that we need the beauty and mysteries of the natural world for our spiritual and emotional development. Does that ring true for you? What are the implications for a culture that spends most of its time indoors?

This ring is true for me because emotional developing is important. Spending time inside and outside are completely different. By being inside you're not experiencing the beauty and mystery of the world that you can experience by being outside.
  • REFLECTION QUESTION
Action Track: Earth Day Together! Earth Day Action: Write a Love Letter, Poem, or Song to Earth
What are you grateful for about our planet? Share what you created or your general thoughts of love and gratitude with everyone else!

I am grateful that our planet is loving and compassionate. No matter what is going on in our world today, things always seem will get better. Our planet is a beautiful creation and a lovely sight to see.
  • REFLECTION QUESTION
    Food Weekly Meal Planning
An average American throws out about 240 lbs of food per year. The average family of four spends $1,500 a year on food that they throw out. Does this surprise you? Where would you rather use this money?

    Amanda Amanda 4/14/2020 2:32 PM
Yes this is really surprising to me because I feel like it would have been a lot more money that would have went to waste with four people. I would have used the money to pay for school.
  • REFLECTION QUESTION
Action Track: Building Resilience Connect While Social Distancing
How does connecting with others help your own mental and emotional health? How can it help support others?

    Amanda Amanda 4/10/2020 2:25 PM
Connecting with others helps me mentally and emotionally because I like to be able to talk and socialize with people. To be able to enjoy yourself with others by playing games or just walking can help anyone. It helps distract anyone from other things and have fun.
  • REFLECTION QUESTION
Food Learn the Truth About Expiration Dates
How does knowing the difference between use by, sell by, and best by dates empower you to make better decisions?

    Amanda Amanda's avatar
    Amanda Amanda 4/10/2020 2:18 PM
It helps me to make better decisions because every time I go to the store to buy groceries I can look out for it and know what the difference is.

I just finished spending 30 minutes outside without any electronics for the past 3 days. Making sure I don't touch my face and washing my hands as much as I can. It felt good to have some fresh air and not having to worry about anything around me.
