Nearly all the neighbors on my road sign my petition that the proposed subdivision respect the character of our neighborhood by preserving wildlife habitat. As much as possible. And this problem is all over our town and the suburbs bordering Capital district cities. We can press pause. Reevaluate.

The past few days i have been trying to make contact with Finch Paper of Glens Falls, and investigating the sale of pulpwood to them from my woodlands greater ecosystem, at least partly cleared to make way for building lots. This is sustainably harvested wood ??! I have contacted PR dept to find out their criteria for responsible landowners who sell them wood products.
Today i was led to go down my road where another woodland area is being brush hogged by the landowner who hopes to build houses. I was thrilled to see the worker and we talked for quite a while. He sees his work as benefiting the remaining trees by grinding up undergrowth and leaving it on the soil as nutrients for trees. Landowners have rights: here in my town, that includes brush hogging. I hope to locate the rest of the rights of landowners.
