    People Spend Time Outside
Rachel Carson said that we need the beauty and mysteries of the natural world for our spiritual and emotional development. Does that ring true for you? What are the implications for a culture that spends most of its time indoors?

When staying indoors, a person misses the beauty of sunshine on leaves, grass, trees, and the ways that they change throughout the seasons.  The music of bird calls and the sight of different animals can be best experienced outside.  Missing those means missing the experience of our place in the larger world.
