REFLECTION QUESTIONFood Advocate For More Food OptionsWhat efforts would help food insecure regions have access to local, seasonal foods?
Kevin Erickson 4/18/2020 10:25 AMProvide access to low income communities for locally sourced produce and food options. Incentivize the sales of whole fruits, vegetables, and grains over processed items and high sugar products. This would provide more funding and value to local farmers and increase nutrition and public health. -

REFLECTION QUESTIONFood Reduce Animal ProductsWhy do people in richer countries eat more meat than people in other places? How does eating more meat affect our planet and other people?
Kevin Erickson 4/18/2020 10:20 AMThe price of meat in global markets means that those who can afford meat have the option to consume more. Meat production requires more land and water, and contributes to greenhouse gas emissions at a higher rate compared to non meat items.
