Use a Reusable Water Bottle
I will use a reusable bottle and stop purchasing bottled water, saving 3 disposable plastic bottle(s) a day.
People
Spend Time Outside
I will replace 60 minute(s) each day typically spent inside (computer time, watching television, etc.) with quality time outside that follows CDC guidelines for preventing disease spread.
Fresh Water
Dishwasher Efficiency
I will scrape, rather than rinse, dishes before loading into the dishwasher and only run the dishwasher when it’s full.
Fresh Water
Conserve Toilet Water
I will save up to 12 gallons (45 L) of water a day by flushing only when necessary.

REFLECTION QUESTIONFresh WaterHow can your region/household prepare for changing water situations in order to become more resilient?
Clarissa Gaeta 4/06/2020 6:11 PMMy household needs to be more mindful of the amount of dished being used during the day. This also includes making sure all food is scrapped off which will allow it easier to wash all dishes. Also the water does not need to be running while dishes are being scrubbed with soap. -
REFLECTION QUESTIONPeopleHow does connecting with others help your own mental and emotional health? How can it help support others?
Clarissa Gaeta 4/06/2020 3:00 PMBeing able to connect with others definitely helps my mental and emotional health because it allows me to connect with others about this season of social distancing and not being able to support my friends like I usually do. These past few weeks have been rough not being able to connect however, I am very grateful to have technology to assist during these times. I hope that being able to connect today also helped those who I connected with the way it helped me. -
REFLECTION QUESTIONPeopleRachel Carson said that we need the beauty and mysteries of the natural world for our spiritual and emotional development. Does that ring true for you? What are the implications for a culture that spends most of its time indoors?
Clarissa Gaeta 4/06/2020 12:05 PMI do believe that being able to spend time outside benefits our spiritual and emotional development. Especially during this season of life and participating in social distancing. There is always beauty found in the idea that being able to take time outside to step away from "life" pressures that may be occurring. Allowing yourself to be in a in new environment and breath different air is health for our bodies and our minds. Some implications for a culture that spends most of its time indoors may be the the lacking of creativity, it may also be the cause for lacking experiences and diversity within ones self.
