We can take shorter showers, turn off the water while we are brushing our teeth, flush the toilets less, etc...
  • REFLECTION QUESTION
    Wildlife Use Reusable Bags
What do you do if you find yourself in the situation of needing a bag for items but don't have a reusable one with you? Carry things out in your hands? In a cart? Accept a disposable one? If you find yourself in this position often, what system could you put in place to try to create a successful habit of not using plastic bags?

I carry the items with my hands and make multiple trips.  I can make sure that I always have a reusable bag in my car to avoid forgetting to bring them places.
  • REFLECTION QUESTION
    Food Compost Food Waste
New to composting? Be sure to check out the action resource links to learn tips and more about it. As you transition from throwing food away to composting, what do you notice about how much you are tossing? How will you use your compost once it is ready?

I am tossing away much less food to none. I will use my compost to grow plants once it is ready.
  • REFLECTION QUESTION

If I put fertilizer  on my lawn or litter it will pollute run off water or go into underground aqueducts and pollute the water.  This is just one of countless examples.
  • REFLECTION QUESTION
Fresh Water Use a Reusable Water Bottle
Using the links provided, investigate the bottling practices of water corporations. There have been many cases where the water rights of the local people have been violated or even completely disregarded when a corporation decides to bottle water from a particular water source. How can you advocate for those who have been harmed - both humans and wildlife - by this bottling process?

I can form a protest my fellow peers or start to make a change in my home and at school.
