Climate
Energy savings for the home office
Now that we're all working from home, energy bills could go up. Take some time to evaluate your home office space (even if it's the kitchen table!). Many utilities offer home efficiency kits (LED bulbs, shower heads, etc.) - visit your electric utilities website to see if they offer any of these solutions. The links below will also help you find energy efficiency opportunities in your own space.
Climate
Local Climate Issues
I will spend at least 10 minute(s) a day researching climate issues or climate solutions in my local area and share with others through my team feed, social media, or conversations with my peers.
People
Connect While Social Distancing
I will connect with at least 2 person/people a day through phone call or video chat to support mine and other’s mental and emotional health during this challenging time.
Fresh Water
Built an ADA Compliant Recycled Rain Barrel for my landlord.
Purchased a broken but nice used Rain Barrel for $5.00. $10.00 for material to fix it. Purchased $10.00 of Kull wood from the local lumber yard and saved about $90 on redwood. Purchased used plumbing supplies for the valve. Spent about $10.00 on hardware to put it all together. About $35-$50 in all and mostly materials that would have been trashed otherwise.
Participant Feed
Reflection, encouragement, and relationship building are all important aspects of getting a new habit to stick.
Share thoughts, encourage others, and reinforce positive new habits on the Feed.
To get started, share “your why.” Why did you join the challenge and choose the actions you did?
