REFLECTION QUESTIONFood Weekly Meal PlanningAn average American throws out about 240 lbs of food per year. The average family of four spends $1,500 a year on food that they throw out. Does this surprise you? Where would you rather use this money?
Justin Jones 4/30/2020 8:40 PMthis doesn't not surprise me. the price of everything that we as humans say for increase year by year. So keeping that in mind, with the taxes that are imposed on the things we buy, and buying quantity that fulfills an entire household's needs is going to be very costly. If I had extra money that had been saved throughout the year, I would have ti be responsible and pay iff any debt that I have. But if I chose to spend this money on myself I would want to go travel somewhere I've never been before. -
REFLECTION QUESTIONForests Plant TreesHow is planting trees good for your mental, physical, and spiritual health?
Justin Jones 4/30/2020 8:37 PMfor me personally, planting helps for mental health because planting a new plant puts your mind on that task and it can be something to make the time pass on by. Planting trees is good for your physical health because of the oxygen that is released as a result. Through this we as humans breath the oxygen and in return, the trees get the carbon dioxide that we exhale from breathing in their oxygen. -
REFLECTION QUESTIONForests Use a Reusable MugMaybe you've heard how good it is to switch from a single use coffee cup to a reusable one, but it's just hard to make the switch. What stands in your way of making this a habit? By identifying the challenges, you can begin to work through them to have better success in taking this action. Knowing the difference you are making, how does it make you feel?
Justin Jones 4/30/2020 8:33 PMfor me personally, the only thing to stand in my way from completing this and making this a habit is the fact that its an entirely different cup that I don't think about because the coffee that I buy to begin with comes with a cup of its own. The change I needed to make was grabbing coffee cups that I usually use and placing those inside my car the night before because I would constantly forget to bring it with me when I was already outside of the house. -
REFLECTION QUESTIONPeople Connect While Social DistancingHow does connecting with others help your own mental and emotional health? How can it help support others?
Justin Jones 4/30/2020 8:30 PMalthough the main purpose of connecting with people in this case is to help them. But through helping them by talking and communicating with them, we end up venting about our own life or giving advice that we ourselves could follow in some point in time. It can help support others by having them feel heard. Having them feel like they TRULY have a voice. It doesn't matter who you are, it is very beneficial to vent and speak about things on your mind. Holding things and and just suffering with negative thoughts are never the solution.
