REFLECTION QUESTIONOceans Join a Cleanup EffortHow does working with others to clean up your community make you feel?
Anežka Kielarová 4/29/2020 1:23 AMIt was more alone then with others because of covid distance-requirements. However, we compared at the end the sacks filled with garbish --> it was a competition in the end :) Quite good fun, I think. And finally we all have a good feeling from a clean environment of the pond and forest nearby. Hope to repeat soon, some areas are really disgusting. -
REFLECTION QUESTIONAction Track: Building Resilience Connect While Social DistancingHow does connecting with others help your own mental and emotional health? How can it help support others?
Anežka Kielarová 4/29/2020 1:18 AMWe stay at home because of grandma and other elder or immune-weak people. I would never threat people's health by my behavior. Therefore, it is important to connect with others and make them less nervous, scared or feeling lonely. As I am extrovert, I need to talk a lot and I am always pleased when someone calls me. So, I call other extroverts a lot to make them happy as well ^.^ -
REFLECTION QUESTIONAction Track: Building Resilience Research Benefits of BiodiversityHow can you encourage biodiversity by your own actions?
Anežka Kielarová 4/29/2020 1:12 AMI planted native plants in my garden and killed couple of non-native predators at the river bank nearby. Further, I convinced my grandma to use bio (parasites) pesticides. Hope we would have in future less exotic plants in gardens. -
Anežka Kielarová 4/10/2020 11:44 AMSuch a beautiful day! Trip in nature + gardening of the new plants in the garden ^.^ I had a little bit difficult time to convince others that we do not have to have lawn...but at the end we all look forward to see new flowers in their beauty. It was worthy! -
Anežka Kielarová 4/03/2020 7:27 AMI still enjoy learning new stuff about the water resources. In fact, it makes my English vocabulary broaden as well. :) -
Anežka Kielarová 4/01/2020 8:36 AMI was surprised how I enjoyed Local Food Roots movie. And the availability (on youtube) is nice!
