REFLECTION QUESTIONFresh WaterWhat are the most prominent water concerns in your area? Examples include drought, flooding, pollution, access, security, and privatization.
Nikki Walker 4/16/2020 6:56 AMI don't know of any concerns in our area, but I know that a lot of people in Wisconsin has little access to clean water. -
REFLECTION QUESTIONAction Track: Building ResilienceRachel Carson said that we need the beauty and mysteries of the natural world for our spiritual and emotional development. Does that ring true for you? What are the implications for a culture that spends most of its time indoors?
Nikki Walker 4/16/2020 6:52 AMWe have had more family time being outdoors more. I'm walking the dog everyday so we both get fresh air and exercise, my kids are playing outside and getting dirty, my husband started a veggie garden and cleaned up our yard, and we just get a sense of freshness when we come back inside. -
REFLECTION QUESTIONAction Track: Building ResilienceHow does connecting with others help your own mental and emotional health? How can it help support others?
Nikki Walker 4/16/2020 6:50 AMThe need for human connection is strong right now. I love being able to FaceTime my family to check in and see what they are doing. We also have family game nights over the phone or we watch the same movie and chat about it after. It's been fun being creative when it comes to connecting with others. I don't feel so isolated or lonely as I did in the beginning.
