REFLECTION QUESTIONFresh Water Use a Reusable Water BottleUsing the links provided, investigate the bottling practices of water corporations. There have been many cases where the water rights of the local people have been violated or even completely disregarded when a corporation decides to bottle water from a particular water source. How can you advocate for those who have been harmed - both humans and wildlife - by this bottling process?
Jamarques Latson 4/10/2020 2:23 PMWhen the news and ads tell you that something has to be done In a specific way you tend to believe It. What they are really doing Is manipulating you. They want you to believe that their product Is the best and It Is what you should purchase. These companies say that their water Is healthier, but It Is not true. In thirds world countries, It can be true. But In first world countries, tap water Is previously treated to get rid of the bacteria. Tap water Is healthier and cheaper than water bottles. These people that have been harmed should get an apology and make all these companies advertise the truth. Maybe not as many people would buy their product, but the ones that would want to buy It would have a real knowledge of the water they are buying -
REFLECTION QUESTIONWildlife Research a Wild AnimalWhat interesting facts did you learn about the animal you researched? What are some of your favorite things about this animal?
Jamarques Latson 4/10/2020 1:48 PMThe animal I chose Is the wolf. I did not know that years ago you could find this animal In many places of the world: In the US, Canada, Europe, Asia... but now mainly just In Canada and Asia. I did not know that wolves are the largest member of the dog family. I also learned that when wolves are born their eyes are blue, but when they turn 8 months their eyes are yellow. Another curiosity is that wolves are born both deaf and blind and they just weight one pound. Some of my favorite things are that they are a very Intelligent animal and that they can be friendly If they do not consider that you are attacking them. -
REFLECTION QUESTIONForests Forest-Friendly FoodsHow difficult or easy was it to change your diet?
Jamarques Latson 4/10/2020 9:18 AMIt was not very hard. Those were products that I did not use regularly, changing and avoiding to use these products Is not just going to help deforestation, but It also going to help my health. I know even If at the beginning Is a little harder, In the long run Is going to be beneficial. -
REFLECTION QUESTIONWildlife Seek Alternative Gifts and SouvenirsHow do your consumption choices affect the health of wildlife and other communities?
Jamarques Latson 4/10/2020 9:12 AMEveryones consumptions have a lot of Influence In the health of wildlife and their communities. For Instance, If someone goes on vacation to India, we know that the elephant and the tiger are two animals that are very popular In this country. If tourists go to buy some souvenirs that are made with skin of these animals or some parts of their bodies, this Is going to make them want to kill more animals because they can get money from It. On the other side, If no one buys these products, they are going to see that Is useless to kill them because no one wants them. This would be a big Influence to preserve these wild animals life.
