Action Track: Building Resilience
Connect While Social Distancing
I will connect with at least 1 person/people a day through phone call or video chat to support mine and other’s mental and emotional health during this challenging time.
Action Track: Building Resilience
Support Pollinators
At least 30% of crops and 90% of flowering plants rely on pollinators, including monarch butterflies, to produce fruit. I will spend 30 minutes researching which plants support local native pollinators and plant some in my yard.
Action Track: Building Resilience
Spend Time Outside
I will replace 60 minute(s) each day typically spent inside (computer time, watching television, etc.) with quality time outside that follows CDC guidelines for preventing disease spread.
Action Track: Building Resilience
Get Involved in the Water Justice Movement
I will spend at least 15 minutes a day using the resources provided to learn about water justice and find out how I can get involved in local initiatives.
Action Track: Earth Day Together!
Earth Day Action: Write a Love Letter, Poem, or Song to Earth
I will express my love and gratitude for our Earth by writing a love letter, poem, or song to Earth.

REFLECTION QUESTIONAction Track: Earth Day Together! Earth Day Action: Write a Love Letter, Poem, or Song to EarthWhat are you grateful for about our planet? Share what you created or your general thoughts of love and gratitude with everyone else!
Tanique Lawrence 4/22/2020 2:20 PMDear Earth, I am grateful for the oxygen you provide, your natural beauty and the life that you sustain. I am always amazed with how much you provide for us. -
REFLECTION QUESTIONAction Track: Building Resilience Spend Time OutsideRachel Carson said that we need the beauty and mysteries of the natural world for our spiritual and emotional development. Does that ring true for you? What are the implications for a culture that spends most of its time indoors?
Tanique Lawrence 4/12/2020 10:23 AMWell based on my own experience spending time indoors it significantly impacts my mood, weight gain, and I always feel tired. It doesn't make the best situation for being productive and healthy. The are positives spending more time with the ones you love more time to learn new hobbies. I agree this does ring true. At the same time there seems to be positive environmental impacts when humans are not impacting the environment as much being indoors. I saw videos that more wildlife are seen in their natural habitat with absence of us.
