  • REFLECTION QUESTION
    Oceans
What single-use items (e.g. straws, coffee cups, vegetable bags, plastic bags) do you regularly use? What could be substituted instead?

We don't use plastic straws, we have reusable stainless ones when needed. We use reusable glassware and tupperware as much as possible but sometimes use Ziploc bags.  If the Ziploc bag can be washed & reused, we do that too.

How can your region/household prepare for changing water situations in order to become more resilient?

BY learning more about water conservation and preparing accordingly.
  • REFLECTION QUESTION
    Food
An average American throws out about 240 lbs of food per year. The average family of four spends $1,500 a year on food that they throw out. Does this surprise you? Where would you rather use this money?

Doesn't surprise me, but I am very aware of this & try hard not to throw food out.

How does knowing the difference between use by, sell by, and best by dates empower you to make better decisions?

It will allow me to waste less food because I will always check the product on my own before throwing it out.
