REFLECTION QUESTIONPeople Write Letters or EmailsHow might thinking creatively help us address big systems problems - like plastic pollution - differently?
India Nelle 4/16/2020 9:17 PMI think thinking creatively can help us come up with innovative ways to solve problems like pollution. -
REFLECTION QUESTIONPeople Spend Time OutsideRachel Carson said that we need the beauty and mysteries of the natural world for our spiritual and emotional development. Does that ring true for you? What are the implications for a culture that spends most of its time indoors?
India Nelle 4/16/2020 9:07 PMI spent time outside today with my cat and doing yard work, it was very helpful, got me out of my slump. -
REFLECTION QUESTIONAction Track: Building Resilience Connect While Social DistancingHow does connecting with others help your own mental and emotional health? How can it help support others?
India Nelle 4/15/2020 8:45 PMIt helps with my mental health because going from seeing many people every day to only seeing my mom 24/7 gets really lonely honestly and talking to friends, or being on a google meet with my class, or on an online workout session with like 75 other people really helps make quarantine less lonely and easier to get through and I'm sure it does the same for everyone else. -
REFLECTION QUESTIONWildlife Use Reusable BagsWhat do you do if you find yourself in the situation of needing a bag for items but don't have a reusable one with you? Carry things out in your hands? In a cart? Accept a disposable one? If you find yourself in this position often, what system could you put in place to try to create a successful habit of not using plastic bags?
India Nelle 4/15/2020 8:41 PMWhenever me or my mom go to the grocery store we always bring our own bags and never get plastic bags. -
REFLECTION QUESTIONWildlife Research a Wild AnimalWhat interesting facts did you learn about the animal you researched? What are some of your favorite things about this animal?
India Nelle 4/15/2020 8:40 PMI researched 2 animals and I learned many things. One thing I learned about the Colugo, is that they live in the forests of Southeast Asia. One thing I learned about the Pangolin is that people illegally trade them a lot. -
