Knowing what these dates mean allows for less food waste as products are safe to use beyond certain dates. This keeps more food from being discarded unnecessarily and allows for better meal planning when we are shopping at the grocery store.

We keep our reusable bags in our car so they are rarely forgotten. I have also carried all my items to my car in a cart unbagged.
