Action Track: Building Resilience
Connect While Social Distancing
I will connect with at least 5 person/people a day through phone call or video chat to support mine and other’s mental and emotional health during this challenging time.
People
Spend Time Outside
I will replace 120 minute(s) each day typically spent inside (computer time, watching television, etc.) with quality time outside that follows CDC guidelines for preventing disease spread.
Action Track: Building Resilience
Use Muscle Power
I will cut my car trip mileage by only taking necessary trips, and I will only use muscle-powered transportation for all other trips.
Participant Feed
Reflection, encouragement, and relationship building are all important aspects of getting a new habit to stick.
Share thoughts, encourage others, and reinforce positive new habits on the Feed.

REFLECTION QUESTIONAction Track: Building Resilience Use Muscle PowerHow do your transportation choices affect your engagement in your community? Does your experience or enjoyment differ while walking, riding transit, biking or driving?
Mikkaela Palmer 4/27/2020 11:32 AMI would normally drive to the track because i would be too tired to run or walk back to the track after the workout but now, i take the time to run there, run on the track, and then walk back and enjoy the sunset sometimes, -

REFLECTION QUESTIONPeople Spend Time OutsideRachel Carson said that we need the beauty and mysteries of the natural world for our spiritual and emotional development. Does that ring true for you? What are the implications for a culture that spends most of its time indoors?
Mikkaela Palmer 4/08/2020 10:28 PMI agree with Rachel Carson, we do need the need to experience the natural beauties and mysteries of the world. It's completely accessible once you take the step out of your front door. -
Mikkaela Palmer 4/08/2020 10:23 PMI ran 9 miles today for my long run, so i walked an extra 2 miles at the end to really take in the sunset. A lot of times, I'm so busy that i can only admire the sunset through pictures and never while it's actually happening. It was an excellent experience. -
Mikkaela Palmer 4/08/2020 10:18 PMI had a long 9 mile run today, so i walked an extra 2 miles after and i watched the sunset.
