    Food Weekly Meal Planning
An average American throws out about 240 lbs of food per year. The average family of four spends $1,500 a year on food that they throw out. Does this surprise you? Where would you rather use this money?

No these numbers do not surprise me because my own family throws out food about every week and we buy our own food. My family buys a lot of food because my siblings eat a lot but some of the food eventually goes to waste. The money we waste I can spend it on buying me new things.

  • REFLECTION QUESTION
    People Spend Time Outside
Rachel Carson said that we need the beauty and mysteries of the natural world for our spiritual and emotional development. Does that ring true for you? What are the implications for a culture that spends most of its time indoors?

Spending too much time indoors effects people and isn't good for your health. People miss a lot and become lazy when they just sit around inside and do not do anything. Its always good to step outside and get some fresh air.
