    Oceans Smart Seafood Choices

I think my diet choices fall within these guidelines. To make sure that my diet is consistent with the guidelines, I will make sure I do my research on the fish that I consume before I consume it.
  • REFLECTION QUESTION
Fresh Water Use a Reusable Water Bottle
Using the links provided, investigate the bottling practices of water corporations. There have been many cases where the water rights of the local people have been violated or even completely disregarded when a corporation decides to bottle water from a particular water source. How can you advocate for those who have been harmed - both humans and wildlife - by this bottling process?

I can advocate for those who have been harmed by choosing not to buy bottled water and educating my peers on the importance of using reusable water bottles.

    Food Compost Food Waste
New to composting? Be sure to check out the action resource links to learn tips and more about it. As you transition from throwing food away to composting, what do you notice about how much you are tossing? How will you use your compost once it is ready?

Instead of throwing food away, I chose to compost. During this time, I have realized that as humans, we waste too much food. If wasting food is necessary, we should avoid throwing it away because then it has no purpose. Instead, we can begin composting our leftover food. This way, our wasted food has a purpose. Once my compost is ready, I plan to use it to start a compost garden because compost is very beneficial to plants.
