Action Track: Building Resilience Watch a Documentary about Food Sovereignty
How does food sovereignty address the complex agrarian transition to modern food systems?

Learning about this was very interesting, because I knew nothing about this particular topic. I found out how complex the modern food systems are not only here in Georgia, but everywhere. Food sovereignty allows some people in communities to produce their own food.

How can spending more time outdoors enhance your sense of place?

Spending more time outdoors can enhance your sense of place by allowing you to see things that you have never seen before. I found new little short cuts to get to some places that I did not even know where near my area. Also, spending more time outside just allows you to witness nature by paying attention to the type of trees, birds, and etc. around the area.  When you spend more time outdoors, you become more aware of things. So, if someone ever calls you and say that they are lost, but then describe there surroundings; you will know where to go to find them or vice versa.

    Wildlife Research a Wild Animal
What interesting facts did you learn about the animal you researched? What are some of your favorite things about this animal?

The animal that I researched was a gazelle. I learned a lot of things about this animal that I did not know before. For example, once these animals get of age, they separate and the males join a group and the females join a larger group. I also learned that they can live up to about only 13 years in the wild. One of my favorite things about this animals, is that unlike other animals; when this animals runs it tends to jump in the air as well. When it jumps in the air this is known as "pronking" or "stotting."

How can your region/household prepare for changing water situations in order to become more resilient?

My house hold will prepare for changing water situations in order to become more resilient, by first scraping the leftover substances off the dishes before washing it. Also, we will stop letting the water flow when we are brushing our teeth, this way we will save the water supply. Lastly, we will try to flush only when it is absolutely necessary, instead of every single time.
