Volunteering enhances your community and changes your relationship with it because you learn your neighbors better while also gaining new friendships and helping your community stay in control

  • REFLECTION QUESTION
Action Track: Building Resilience Spend Time Outside
Rachel Carson said that we need the beauty and mysteries of the natural world for our spiritual and emotional development. Does that ring true for you? What are the implications for a culture that spends most of its time indoors?

Yes I think that rings true to me not only for our spiritual and emotional development but being outside (in the sun) gives you vitamin D which helps your body in many ways and just getting some fresh air from outside a good way to relax and help you not lose control being stuck in the house all day
