I will explore at least one new hiking trail or nature walk in my area while following CDC guidelines for social distancing.

Use a Reusable Mug
If possible, I will avoid sending 1 disposable cup(s) to the landfill each day by using a reusable mug.
Action Track: Building Resilience
Spend Time Outside
I will replace 30 minute(s) each day typically spent inside (computer time, watching television, etc.) with quality time outside that follows CDC guidelines for preventing disease spread.

REFLECTION QUESTIONForests Use a Reusable MugMaybe you've heard how good it is to switch from a single use coffee cup to a reusable one, but it's just hard to make the switch. What stands in your way of making this a habit? By identifying the challenges, you can begin to work through them to have better success in taking this action. Knowing the difference you are making, how does it make you feel?
Lynn Siegner 4/08/2020 7:00 AMIt been super easy lately since I'm stuck at home! LOL but when I am at work I do have a reusable Starbucks cup. It was fairly easy to make the switch. The only struggle I faced was remembering to bring it back to work when I brought it home to clean. I great reusing a cup rather than creating more waste! -
REFLECTION QUESTIONForests Explore My AreaHow can spending more time outdoors enhance your sense of place?
Lynn Siegner 4/08/2020 6:58 AMMy husband and I both had a great time exploring Hitchcock Nature Center. When we came home, we both felt relaxed after a rough day. Being in a forested area makes me and my problems feel small. The struggles back home had no effect out in nature and that helped me feel like I still have a place in the world. I was able to feel like my self again for awhile :)
