Use Reusable Bags
Plastic bags can be mistaken for food by many wild animals. If at all possible, I will not accept any disposable bags when making purchases, including produce bags.

Support Pollinators
At least 30% of crops and 90% of flowering plants rely on pollinators, including monarch butterflies, to produce fruit. I will spend 60 minutes researching which plants support local native pollinators and plant some in my yard.

Erin Smith 4/06/2020 6:51 AMI have done curbside pick-up a couple of times to avoid going into stores, but it really pains me to know that they are using plastic bags. Has anyone found a way to avoid going into stores and use reusable bags? I wish places like Target would use the boxes they receive shipments in.-
Tara Corallino 4/07/2020 7:58 AMWe have not- we started doing a once a week in person shopping with just one of us and we just load up with our own reusable bags (we do the bagging). Then we hot wash all our bags when we get home before the next trip. It takes forever because you have to go around the store in a weird way to avoid the people, and it definitely takes planning to make sure you get everything you need.
