Spend Time Outside
I will replace 30 minute(s) each day typically spent inside (computer time, watching television, etc.) with quality time outside that follows CDC guidelines for preventing disease spread.

REFLECTION QUESTIONAction Track: Building Resilience Spend Time OutsideRachel Carson said that we need the beauty and mysteries of the natural world for our spiritual and emotional development. Does that ring true for you? What are the implications for a culture that spends most of its time indoors?
Lynsey Spaeth 4/06/2020 2:47 PMI am very guilty of spending too much time indoors. I do think that humans need natural spaces to connect both spiritually and emotionally. I have noticed in the past and this week, while under stay at home orders, the moments I have been able to spend outside have been amazing. Spring is my favorite season in NYC; this weekend I was lucky enough to go to a park. Many trees and flowers are currently blooming. The vibrant colors of yellow, green, purple, and white were so overwhelming and a gorgeous reminder of how beautiful the world is, even during this strange time of corona virus. It has been a bright spot in my week and a good reminder of how lucky I am to be able to go on walks in parks and enjoy natural spaces.
