Does anyone have any experience composting using an upcycled storage bin? I have one with a locking lid which, according to the internet is usable. I have limited space in my yard and I don't want to spend a ton of money to get my compost going and would love to be able to upcycle this bin. Thoughts?

Hey Megan! Apparently you're supposed to cut a bunch of holes in the bin. I'm trying to find a system that can't be infiltrated by city rats (I'm over near Hampden).

I don’t see why it wouldn’t  work. Are you supposed to cut the bottom off? I find I don’t really compost “right” (I don’t pay attention to ratios or turning it) but that whenever I open it to add more there’s always plenty of space.
