Energy savings for the home office
Now that we're all working from home, energy bills could go up. Take some time to evaluate your home office space (even if it's the kitchen table!). Many utilities offer home efficiency kits (LED bulbs, shower heads, etc.) - visit your electric utilities website to see if they offer any of these solutions. The links below will also help you find energy efficiency opportunities in your own space.
Climate
My Carbon Footprint
Use an online tool (links below) to calculate my carbon footprint and see what changes would make the most difference. Each calculator varies, but you'll typically need to gather: utility records, the flight history for the last year, and annual mileage and fuel efficiency of your vehicles.
Participant Feed
Reflection, encouragement, and relationship building are all important aspects of getting a new habit to stick.
Share thoughts, encourage others, and reinforce positive new habits on the Feed.
To get started, share “your why.” Why did you join the challenge and choose the actions you did?

Kari Stewart 4/29/2020 10:45 AMit shocks and disturbs me on how much people litter. i go outside for a short walk everyday and the amount of trash on the street is upsetting. I live in a quiet neighborhood with not a lot of traffic and i have filled 2 garbage bags since last week with the amount of little things on the road or in brush by the wooded area. Bottle caps, fast food cups/bags/containers, paper, bottles/cans, small boxes, broken toys - the list keeps going. It's very sad -
REFLECTION QUESTIONFood Learn the Truth About Expiration DatesHow does knowing the difference between use by, sell by, and best by dates empower you to make better decisions?
Kari Stewart 4/23/2020 6:04 AMit is so sad to see the amount of waste, especially in what we throw out for leftovers and past the expiry date. I will be coming up with creative ways for leftovers and rethink what we have past the expiry date which is actually still good to eat.
