What do you do if you find yourself in the situation of needing a bag for items but don't have a reusable one with you? Carry things out in your hands? In a cart? Accept a disposable one? If you find yourself in this position often, what system could you put in place to try to create a successful habit of not using plastic bags?

Before this pandemic started, I almost always used reusable grocery bags. Since the pandemic started, I have been doing all of my grocery shopping via delivery services, and I am finding it more challenging to determine what packaging is used to transport the groceries. Any fresh produce is purchased with a small plastic bag. i have been re-using those bags in my bathroom trash can, so they get another use. I have also found Costco to be a good option to avoid plastic bags, as they bring everything in with cardboard boxes.

I usually opt for carrying all of my groceries in my arms, which can sometimes get pretty tricky! I keep a pile of reusable bags in my car. After I use them and empty them out, I place them by the door so that I remember to put them back into my car.
