Action Track: Building Resilience
Support Pollinators
At least 30% of crops and 90% of flowering plants rely on pollinators, including monarch butterflies, to produce fruit. I will spend 60 minutes researching which plants support local native pollinators and plant some in my yard.
Action Track: Building Resilience
Spend Time Outside
I will replace 30 minute(s) each day typically spent inside (computer time, watching television, etc.) with quality time outside that follows CDC guidelines for preventing disease spread.
People
Keep My Community Clean
I will pick up 5 piece(s) of litter each day while following the CDC’s current guidelines for prevention of disease transfer.

REFLECTION QUESTIONAction Track: Building ResilienceRachel Carson said that we need the beauty and mysteries of the natural world for our spiritual and emotional development. Does that ring true for you? What are the implications for a culture that spends most of its time indoors?
Diana Wright 4/29/2020 1:24 PMPeople who spend much of their time inside either working or watching tv become disconnected from the natural world. This causes a kind of apathy toward the importance the natural world has both on our physical well being and our spiritual well being. Also if people do not experience things, they become afraid of it. Oooh dirt, oooh bugs, oooh germs and the creatures in nature which are vitally important in the balance of our natural world become disposable. "Out of sight, out of mind" and we all suffer from that mentality.
