April 30 at 8:02 PMI just watched a documentary on Hulu called "The Biggest Little Farm." I highly recommend it! It's about a couple who buys a farm that had stopped functioning (the soil was dead, the bees were dead, no water) and how they used natural methods to turn it around. It was fantastic and beautiful!

April 30 at 6:04 PMThank you everyone for participating in the EcoChallenge! This challenge always really inspires me, especially seeing everyone's tips on the Feed! I have learned so much this month and thank you everyone for contributing! This month, I really learned to study my surroundings by sitting outside more and researching a bird I saw everyday. This really empowers me to understand to...

April 30 at 1:47 PMThe next time you are able to get out to large events (haha) and go to a Home Show, check out any electric supply companies offering renewable sourced electric generation. I went with a company called Green Mountain 6 years ago at a home show. I get 100% wind power for a rate that is only $0.01 higher than my electric utility company price to...

April 30 at 1:44 PMThis one was easy, we are barely driving anywhere. One of the carbon footprint bonuses of living in the time of COVID-19.
-
April 30 at 1:42 PMWe have natural gas heat, central AC, and gas hot water heater. Our electric bill is lower than average, and I get my electric generation from 100% wind power supplier. So that is a big reduction on my "Carbon Footprint". I signed up for that at a home show 6 years ago. The rate is a little higher than my standard electric utility co...

April 30 at 1:41 PMNot surprising. Rather be able to increase our yeary donations to a cause we believe in.
