    This was my first time participating in EcoChallenge. I really enjoyed it. It kept me accountable for continuous learning efforts and my daily actions. I love the site's use of stats and their overall correlation of information gathered--it really speaks to the power of data visualization.

    What are the most prominent water concerns in your area? Examples include drought, flooding, pollution, access, security, and privatization.

    All of the above issues affect water sustainability, the most immediate are dealing with water pollution and also privatization of a resource that will make this critical resource inaccessible to some who may not be able to afford it.

    Today I took steps to reduce my carbon footprint. I chose to reduce my greenhouse gas emissions by refuse to drive my car and opting to cycle to and from the gym.

    To maintain a more environmentally friendly diet I need to avoid meat, definitely a challenge but substitutes such as soy and tofu have been helpful

    in my area there is a nearby river, the Occoquan river which sometimes gets flooded due to rain
