With working from home, I haven't been putting make up on most days, opting to just use moisturizer. The makeup industry is one the biggest pollutors in the world and by buying less makeup and going barefaced more often, I can make a difference!

I went and explored a new trail with a friend late this afternoon and am so glad that I did. What a gorgeous day to be out in nature, exploring all it has to offer.

Being outside really makes you appreciate the beauty that nature offers while grounding you and providing serenity and calmness.

Food waste bothers me, both as an equity issue and as a sustainability issue. I am always looking for ways to improve our use of the food we buy, both in terms of using all parts of the produce we buy, or to plan and buy what we need , can freezer for later use. The money spent on wasted food could be used instead to buy food for someone in...

I know I learned a lot more about my neighborhood by engaging with it on foot/bike than before when I mostly drove.

So. Many. Ways. Composting/recycling. Commuting by foot or bike or even bus. Buying less new and more used. The list could go on and on and on.

I was able to replace all of my energy consumption with wind energy which is awesome! Now that summer is approaching, it is much easier to keep the lights off for most of the day, and I've been trying to be better about unplugging things that are not in use.

This was not a hard habit for me to adopt, particularly with the stay at home order! I don't have disposable cups so I couldn't use them if I wanted! It would be interesting to understand how water use compares between increased washing of the same cup vs. making disposable cups.
