This inspired me to actually start composting! I did all my resarch and I'm building a bin this weekend.

I've been having a hard time particularly with the challenge of scraping food instead of rinsing because I'm so used to it. One idea I've had is to keep a spatula next to the sink so its easier to accomplish. Also, I find its easier to scrape when the food is fresh so I try to clean up right away instead of leaving dishes in the sink.

Mindfully treat water as a scarce resource. For instance, instead of just running the water until it becomes hot for dish washing, I rinse out my coffee press and tea steeper and any other dishes that need rinsing at that time.

First day of ecochallenge is going well as most of the goals today are things that I have been doing! I also shared this with multiple team members to share my passion on sustainability.

    Forests Use a Reusable Mug
Maybe you've heard how good it is to switch from a single use coffee cup to a reusable one, but it's just hard to make the switch. What stands in your way of making this a habit? By identifying the challenges, you can begin to work through them to have better success in taking this action. Knowing the difference you are making, how does it make you feel?

It is great that I have access to mugs easily at work (when I am at work).

Action Track: Building Resilience Spend Time Outside
Rachel Carson said that we need the beauty and mysteries of the natural world for our spiritual and emotional development. Does that ring true for you? What are the implications for a culture that spends most of its time indoors?

I agree. I love being by the beach.  It makes me feel connected to the world.

The opposite of this is disconnection.
