April 30 at 10:17 PMThis was definitely an interesting process. Even just the act of checking in everyday helped bring environmental causes to the forefront of my mind on a more regular basis.

April 30 at 9:32 AMLast day of this challenge! Appreciate that this month I have learned a ton about local climate change and other environmental issues, spent extra time outside, reduced my shower water use, started buying offsets for my electricity use, remembered to buy eco-friendly beauty products, and more!

April 29 at 1:38 PMI'm all about hydropower as a clean energy source, but I understand it carries some environmental concerns. Here's a good article on what hydropower companies can do to preserve river ecosystems and lesson their impacts. https://www.hydroreform.org/abouthydro/modernizing-hydropower

April 27 at 11:48 AMI feel less guilty to be outside around others when it is for something essential, in this case volunteering with Gleaners to provide food to people who struggle to afford enough food. I have gotten to know other volunteers, and have enjoyed this time.

April 27 at 11:46 AMWhen the washer and dryer finally die they will be replaced with more energy efficient models. I can also switch to buying LED light bulbs as my current bulbs begin to die. Better insulation and/or more panes to the windows could also make a large difference.

April 27 at 9:19 AMPut my banana peel and coffee grounds in the compost container today!

April 27 at 8:06 AMI'm reading through the 7 principles of Leave No Trace as part of my daily local climate change research. I need to clean up some of my camping practices! https://lnt.org/why/7-principles/

April 25 at 9:11 PMI didn’t know that the particles from phytoplankton facilitate cloud formation which drives worldwide climate patterns! ANd they protecting hunters like bluefin tuna and sharks is essential to keeping the right balance and nutrients for phytoplankton. I plan to use my seafood watch app and find out more about activist efforts to promote...
