    Today we went into the nearby woods by us. We picked up almost 20 pieces of litter in a matter of minutes.

    I read that 83% of Americans have prematurely thrown out a food item based on the sell by date. Food past this date is perfectly healthy to eat. 
    I also didn’t know dates on food are not federally mandated (with the exception of baby food). The “rules” are up to each state and often only established by the company providing the dates. I’m going to stick to the smell test from now on. Got to stop trusting those dates as they don’t tell us anything about the safety of food.

    We set our DVR to record Seven Worlds, One Planet and have watched the first series on South America. My son is enjoyed watching it too,

    I use a reusable cup EVERYDAY!! No straws ever needed for me!!

    From what I learned about the differences between best by, sell by, and use by dates, I can make more informed decisions on purchasing and consuming. I believe that I can avoid trashing some food that is still actually good enough to consume past its sell by/best by dates.
