Sustainable ASC

Agnes Scott College

Building resilience is something that people on the frontlines of climate change have been doing for years. It is also something that we consider here at Agnes Scott through out partnership with the City of Decatur as we work on a Climate Resilience Plan. There are important connections to made between this time of physical isolation and the Earth's climate. So this month, we challenge you to consider those connections and remember the actions that you can carry with you when you no longer have to physically distance yourselves. Happy Earth Month and Happy Ecochallenge!

Last day! How did you guys do on the challenge?
  • April 29 at 12:17 PM
We're almost done logging our sustainable actions! Are there any things that you guys have really enjoyed and will keep up after the challenge? I've definitely been loving the sharing economy. Yesterday I got around 20 LED lightbulbs for free because someone didn't want them! I saved them from the trash and now I have plenty of lightbulbs!

I like to focus on the benefit of plant based eating.

If you choose to eat things filled with chemicals and pesticides, those can end up going back into the ground and harming wildlife.

There's a huge difference between mass produced food and traditional farming methods. The farmer is the most important part of the agrarian system and the machine is the most important part of the modern system, taking away jobs from the farmers.
