This has been a great project. Ive gotten out hiking to a number of new trails and its been fun tracking my progress. Doing the eco challenge has kept up my awareness of my meatless and vegan meals, which has also been eye opening. Thanks all!

Looks like I'm done the challenge, I've been able to keep up with the challenges I set for myself the last month. Writing this I have 1034 points so the extra 5 points will have me finish at 1039 points for the month. I will continue composting, checking in with people, and daily outside activity. They feel like good habits

Although I live a rather clean neighborhood, I was surprised by the amount of trash I found along the edge of the wooded lots nearby. I was disgusted by the amount of trash, obviously tossed out of people's car windows, beneath the train tracks adjacent to a nearby park. I'm determined to go back out with more gear to safely pick up more trash...

I've been trying to limit my socializing to phone calls and no video because I am on video calls all day for work. It was nice to chat with my friend and commiserate without the added strain of looking at a computer screen.

It's been great to touch base with people, even if it's not face to face. This time of social distancing has actually brought the value of friendship into a different kind of perspective.

Today a large number of people at my job found out they are being furloughed. I've been on video chat throughout the day offering support when I can. Tough times.

There is a great food documentary series on Hulu called Broken Bread. It looks at food insecurity and social justice in LA with the chef Roy Choi.
