UU Catskills

This evening our neighborhood is having a socially distanced "Justin Beaver" concert on the shores of our local creek overlooking Justin's lodge.  We have seen Justin and his wife outside swimming around the creek so we think that means that the babies are getting bigger- hopefully soon we'll have sightings of the baby beavers!  

My husband and I have been taking daily walks around our neighborhood.  We have been observing a beaver family building a city on the creek down the street from us.  Our neighbor has named him "Justin Beaver". He thinks he saw baby around the lodge the other day - we haven't  seen the baby yet but look forward to seeing him hopefully...

Without pollinators there's no flowers, veggies, fruit, etc, etc.....

By picking up litter in the community it shows caring for environment we all live in and respect for the earth. 

People who spend much of their time inside, I believe, become detached from the beauty and mysteries in nature. Without a connection to  nature there is no respect or carring for it. The decisions that are made regarding the environment are destructive, selfish, and thoughtless.

I don't eat Hudson River fish. 

I will carry things out to car and place them in my reusable bags.

Thankfully, disposable bags are not an option any longer NYS.  I keep reusable bags in my car so I generally have them with me.  I also have one bag in my handbag, so it is with me whenever I shop even if I am not in my car.

WIthout pollinators plants will have difficulty reproducing which will affect our food supply.
