Nicholas's actions
Action Track: Building Resilience
Get Involved in the Water Justice Movement
I will spend at least 10 minutes a day using the resources provided to learn about water justice and find out how I can get involved in local initiatives.
Fresh Water
Dishwasher Efficiency
I will scrape, rather than rinse, dishes before loading into the dishwasher and only run the dishwasher when it’s full.
Fresh Water
Use a Reusable Water Bottle
I will use a reusable bottle and stop purchasing bottled water, saving 1 disposable plastic bottle(s) a day.
Action Track: Earth Day Together!
Earth Day Action: Share Eco Tips
Through social media or on the Earth Day Ecochallenge feed, I will share my favorite environmentally friendly habit with my friends, even if it’s not an Earth Day action.
Action Track: Earth Day Together!
Earth Day Action: Research and Support Local Organizations
I will spend 30 minutes researching local organizations and businesses in my community, then support one of them by writing a testimonial or positive review, ordering curbside, making a donation to my favorite nonprofit, or supporting them in another way.
Action Track: Earth Day Together!
Earth Day Action: Write a Love Letter, Poem, or Song to Earth
I will express my love and gratitude for our Earth by writing a love letter, poem, or song to Earth.

Nicholas Babladelis 4/22/2020 11:12 AMWhile completing the ACTION TRACK: BUILDING RESILIENCE Get Involved in the Water Justice Movement I was thinking about how we're looking into ways to cut the footprint of bottled water on the campus. Bottled water is often sourced from public supplies, and sometimes in areas where freshwater is under threat. Take this story as just one example: https://www.desertsun.com/story/news/environment/2017/08/31/arrowhead-bottled-water-really-spring-water-without-flowing-springs-near-wells-san-bernardino-nation/612307001/ -
Nicholas Babladelis 4/22/2020 11:08 AMI'm excited to order books I need from our local bookstore Gibson's https://www.gibsonsbookstore.com/ -
Nicholas Babladelis 4/22/2020 11:06 AMMy biggest tip for all: take this time to start a home compost bin. (Ask me if you want to know more.) -
Nicholas Babladelis 4/22/2020 11:05 AMI was thinking, when you complete the FRESH WATER Dishwasher Efficiency challenge, why not scrape those plates into a compost bin? #Composting4Life
